STA Ventilation Technolgy - Direct driven exhauster type EA
The EA range of 5 alternative, air exhaust units, all utilize direct drive fans and are designed to offer a solutions to most forced air ventilation problems. The sturdy casing, accurate manufacturing and high quality control results in units that have very low noise levels so that they can actually be sited within the room area to be served if required.

Additionally the use of this type of fan means that high external static air pressure are available so that the EA range is ideally suited to ducted, supply or extract systems.

The standard method of construction allows the units to be suitable for either internal or external siting, without modification.

The casing itself is manufactured of pre finished material to 0,8mm and all processes use automated tooling to produces a high quality, consistent product. The metal sheeting is further protected with a transparent coating to minimise scratches and accidental damage, this attention to detail ensures that all EA units leave the factory and arrive at the customer in tip top condition.

The fans are fixed onto a heavy duty galvanised steel plate within the unit and, as standard, use 230/1/50 4 pole motors. The motors are fitted with start condensers and internal overload protection. The IP20 insulation class motors are both very efficient and hard wearing, whilst the aluminium impellors are housed within a galvanised casing and are directly coupled to the fan shaft.

The iternal insulation is of 10 mm thick, open cell, Polyurethane, that covers the complete unit. The insulation is, itself protected with a layer of black anti scratch film.

  • INTAKE FLANGE
    An intake flange can be supplied in the same material as the casing and allows the EA unit to be easily fited into metal ductwork. A silicone joint will ensure no air leakage and the flange is strong enough to avoid distortion.
  • INTAKE DAMPER
    An intake damper can be supplied where control of the airflow is required; this can be provided either with modulating or on/off control. The standard material for both the frame and blades is galvanised steel but alternative materials, such as stainless steel 314 or 306 can also be provided.
  • FILTER
    Two different types of filters are available for EA units: G2 class metal washable filter, fit for dusty or greasy air coming from industrial environment. G3 class synthetic eashable filter for all the standard ventilation system. Pressure drops don't affect static external pressure of the fan.
  • EXHAUST GRILLE
    An aluminium grille/damper and frame can be supplied, with inclined blades in order to offer pretection against rain; the blades are designed to open, only when air is flowing, gravity will automatically close the blades when not in operation.
  • SPEED SWITCH
    A simple, manual fan speed control package is also available using 4 settings: high, medium, low & off. The controller is supplied with a wiring diagram t ensure that the connection between it and the fan motor is correct from the start up and the unit itself is housed in a smart aluminium enclosure so that it can be fitted to the unit itself or, with the kit provided, remotely.
